2026-2027 Food Service License Renewals

*New Accela Citizen Access Online Platform

The Oakland County Health Division would like to introduce the public and license holders to our new online tool, Accela Citizen Access (ACA). On February 9, 2026, Accela will be replacing our current licensing and inspection system, E-Health. Within the ACA platform, you will be able to submit anonymous complaints, apply for and renew licenses, track the status of your application, update information, upload documents, pay fees, and request inspections.

About the Program

The Food Safety Program provides a number of services to ensure the proper handling and distribution of food served to the general public. This includes:

  • Conducting inspections of restaurants, festival food booths, and mobile food vehicles
  • Conducting investigations of foodborne illness complaints and outbreaks
  • Providing Food Safety Education (learn about available classes)

File an Illness Complaint

To file an illness complaint, please call or email the Communicable Disease Unit, or initiate your complaint intake on our Accela Citizen Access page. Note that illness complaints require completion of an illness intake questionnaire, including a three-day food history. If initiating your complaint online, you will be contacted by our Communicable Disease Unit via email for more information. Please be sure to include your email.

Food News & Views

*NEW* STARTING JULY 1, 2025, paid STFU inspections must be separated by at least one (1) month. For example, if a paid inspection is completed on August 15, the Health Division will not complete a second paid inspection for that unit before September 15.
