Kaitlin Schwarz

Kaitlin Schwarz is an Epidemiologist at Oakland County Health and Human Services with a primary focus on opioids and overdose. She's responsible for epidemiological surveillance of fatal and non-fatal overdoses to assess trends in morbidity and mortality across the county. Kaitlin supports key public health initiatives including the Overdose Fatality Review Team and the Opioid Settlement Committee process which aims to reduce overdose-related harms through data-driven strategies. 

Kaitlin holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, along with certificates in Social Epidemiology and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from the University of Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
