Notice Regarding Election Lawsuits
Election lawsuits seeking immediate judicial relief filed during either the early voting period or on the election date for the August 4, 2026 primary election MUST be e-filed with the Sixth Circuit Court through the MiFILE portal, https://www.oakgov.com/government/courts/circuit-court/programs/efiling. To ensure timely processing of any emergency motions, a PDF copy of the e-filed documents including the filer’s contact information MUST be emailed to circuitcourt@oakgov.com with a subject line of “New Election Case.” Emailing documents to the circuit court email address does not replace your obligation to efile the documents through the MiFILE system.
If a filer seeks emergency relief outside of court hours, after filing the required pleadings, the filer may contact Court Administration at 248-877-2954 for additional instructions.
