The Child Passenger Safety Program provides the following:

• Referrals to car seat check sites in Oakland County
• Education and proper car seat installation demonstration by a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician
• Information for parents and caregivers about how to keep children safe in motor vehicles

Eligibility

The Child Passenger Safety Program offers assistance in obtaining child safety seats for children riding unrestrained. Qualifications for assistance include:

• Must be an active Women, Infants & Children (WIC) client
• Must be an Oakland County resident

How to Request a Car Seat Appointment

Click here to complete the car seat interest form. Please note you will need to input your 16-Digit WIC Identification number to submit the form. Please allow up to 72 hours for staff to respond to your car seat appointment request.

All car seat education and installation are free.
