One of the primary functions of the Oakland County Planning Division is to assist with the land use and zoning functions of our local communities. In this capacity, our customers are typically local governments and planning consultants. Our staff maintains land use maps and statistics, which are available online. We also provide staff reviews to the County's Coordinating Zoning Committee.

Our mission is to prepare and provide land use, zoning and master plan information and reviews to Oakland County communities to enhance their coordination in land use decision-making.
