Oakland County’s Business Retention & Growth (BR&G) team connects with businesses to understand and support their needs for growth within Oakland County. Working with State and local partners, BR&G seeks to strengthen the economy by providing quality resources and programs to Oakland County businesses.

With a strategic focus to strengthen the technology ecosystem to support, retain, and grow three critical industries: research, engineering and design; IT/computer services; and robotics integration. This will establish Oakland County as a nationally recognized technology hub and create a competitive advantage.

Oakland County Executive David Coulter joined OneStream leaders and local tech innovators at the “Empowered by Design” event in Birmingham, highlighting collaboration, AI innovation, and workforce development through the county’s Tech Collaboration initiative. The event featured breakout sessions on AI reliability, cybersecurity, and career growth—showcasing the strength of Oakland County’s thriving tech ecosystem.

Greg DoyleGreg DoyleAdministrator, Oakland County Economic Development –  Business Retention & Growth

Doyle is the Administrator for the Oakland County Economic Development, Business Retention & Growth (BR&G) Team. BR&G provides support to Oakland County’s mid-size to Fortune 500 companies. The team makes retention visits to 100 businesses per quarter. Assist with company expansion projects through collaboration with state and local officials and entities such as the MEDC and Detroit Regional Partnership. Accomplishments have been: exceeded annual goals for number of retention visits, capital investment and new jobs. Has conducted all research and data analysis to develop department wide strategic plan focused on three traded cluster industries.

Stephanie PotterStephanie Potter – Senior Business Development Representative, Oakland County Economic Development –  Business Retention & Growth

Stephanie Potter With over a decade of experience in Economic Development, Stephanie’s expertise extends to various domains, including project management, strategy, process improvement, manufacturing, robotics and automation. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor, and MSU Business Process Management. Stephanie holds a BBA from Walsh college, concentrating in Business Management. 

Glen SartoriGlen Sartori, MBA – Senior Business Development Representative, Oakland County Economic Development – Business Retention & Growth

Sartori has more than 30 years of business management experience across three industries including manufacturing, hospitality, and retail. He has an Associate degree in Business Administration from Oakland Community College; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration; and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He has been part of Oakland County Economic Development for over 7 years.

KATHLEEN STILLMANKathleen Stillman – Senior Business Development Representative, Oakland County Economic Development – Business Retention & Growth

Stillman has more than 30 years of experience in the Automotive Industry working primarily in the supply base. She has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University, a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from Stanford University, and a Master of Business Administration from Oakland University.  She joined Oakland County Economic Development in January 2024.

Mike WoodsMichael Woods, MUP, AICP – Senior Business Development Representative, Oakland County Economic Development – Business Retention & Growth

Woods has spent more than 20 years in community and economic development consulting in both the public and private sectors. He is nationally accredited through the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) with a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Michigan State University; and a Masters of Urban Planning from Wayne State University. He has been part of Oakland County Economic Development for 5 years.
