Nature Table

The Nature Table is a walk-up conversational two-hour nature experience. It works best when used at another event or to supplement a program. It is a great addition to farmers markets, festivals, school field days, etc. Nature Tables have the option of an additional craft.

Topics include Michigan Wildlife, Purely Michigan and Wellness in the Woods.

Nature Presentation

The Nature Presentation is a 45-minute class on one of these topics: Forest Friends, Trailwise Summer Safety or Colors in Nature. Classes can be presented in-person or virtually. There is a 45-person limit per program. Each presentation includes an interactive talk with bio facts, pelts and other natural history items. Topic descriptions are as follows:

  • Forest Friends: The forest is a wildlife neighborhood. Discover what animals call it home and uncover how these animal’s unique adaptations help them survive here.
  • Trailwise Summer Safety: Summer safety matters! Find out how to beat the heat and stay safe while on the trail. Learn the principles of Leave No Trace and how to apply them to your next outdoor adventure, whether in your backyard or in the wilds of Michigan.
  • Colors in Nature: Nature is a kaleidoscope of color. Learn about what colors are used for warnings, which are used to camouflage and what colors try to trick you. Find out how the power of color affects the natural world.

Up to two presentations are included in the RAPP program. Presentations must be the same topic and on the same day and location.
