The Great Marshmallow Drop
Join Oakland County Parks for The Great Marshmallow Drop on Friday, April 3. This event begins at 10 a.m. at Worden Park at the corner of Lexington Boulevard and Crooks Road in Royal Oak. A drop for individuals with disabilities of all ages will begin at 11 a.m. Watch in amazement as 15,000 marshmallows are dropped from a helicopter. Participants then need to collect only one marshmallow that can be exchanged for a prize.
American Sign Language interpretation will be on site and the Quiet Zone will be available with sensory regulation tools, such as noise reducing headphones and fidget tools.

Holly Oaks ORV Park - Disability Dirt Days
The original award-winning Disability Dirt Days event series will be back for its fifth year. Paired safely with a volunteer driver, individuals with disabilities can experience what it's like to zip through the dirt, bounce over rocks and splash in the water during Disability Dirt Days. This free program series is open to individuals with any type of disability and their families. Individuals age 10 and older can participate. The event is expected to attract 90 riders, 200 friends and family and 30 volunteers.

Adaptive Recreation
Sponsorship opportunities available through OCP's Adaptive Recreation programming include Disability Dirt Days, Diversability Days, Dreams and Wings, social series for individuals with intellectual and disabilities, adaptive golf, Quiet Zone and adaptive program equipment.
