Picnic Shelter & Facility Rentals
Perfect picnic spots are just a short drive away. Oakland County Parks has several locations for special occasions such as company picnics, family reunions, birthday parties and more.
Picnic Facilities:
- Include large outdoor cooking grills, sand volleyball and horseshoes pits
- Offer special packages for Mobile Recreation units, including Climbing Tower, Inflatable Bouncers and more
- Any merchandise to be sold, or banner to be hung, must obtain prior approval
- Individuals and groups can bring in their own caterer/food for picnics and parties

Printable Picnic Shelter and Facility Rental Rates
Oakland County residents receive a $25 discount on Monday-Thursday rental rates and a $50 discount on Friday-Sunday and Holiday rental rates. At Addison Oaks facilities, Oakland County residents receive a $25 discount on Monday-Friday rental rates and a $50 discount on Saturday-Sunday and Holiday rental rates.

The pavilion is adjacent to a modern restroom building with access to the park's hiking trails and short walk to Lake Sixteen, which offers an accessible fishing dock and non-motorized boating.
Red Oaks Waterpark
1455 East 13 Mile Road, between John R and Dequindre roads
Red Oaks Waterpark does not offer public shelter rentals. Weekday rentals for registered groups only; shelter rate is $100. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. No shelters are rented without a group reservation. Group reservations are for 20 or more guests who are affiliated with a nonprofit or government agency. See group terms and conditions for more information.
All reservations must be completely booked one business day, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., before the desired reservation date. No exceptions. Purchase of an admission ticket is required for all people entering the park to access the shelter. Early/late season and holiday restrictions apply.

Available for rent year-round. Features a fireplace, eating/meeting room and food service area, modern restrooms, deck, scenic overlook and select audio/video equipment. Capacity is 96 based on setup. Individuals and groups can bring in their own caterer/food for their event.
- Friday-Sunday/Holidays: $500 for 1-day rental, up to 8 hours (9 a.m.-11 p.m.)
- Monday-Thursday: $400 for 1-day rental, up to 8 hours (9 a.m.-10 p.m.)

Waterford Oaks Event Center

Available for rent year-round, Waterford Oaks Event Center can accommodate up to 200 people based on setup and offers a food service area, plus adjacent bar area, coat room, space for dancing (based on layout), modern restrooms and select audio-visual equipment. Individuals and groups can bring in their own caterer/food for their event.
- Friday-Sunday/Holidays:
- $1,000 for 1-day rental, up to 8 hrs. (9 a.m-11 p.m.) Reservations accepted up to six months in advance
- $1,800 for full weekend rental. Reservations accepted up to 11 months in advance - contact staff for daily hours and time blocks
- Monday-Thursday: $600 for 1-day rental, up to 8 hrs. (9 a.m.-10 p.m.)
- $500 Security Deposit required
