Mobile recreation units are a great way to add fun to any event. Most units are available Memorial Day through Labor Day, but stages and bleachers are available year-round. 

For organizations reserving mobile recreation packages and not using RAPP, please submit the Mobile Recreation Reservation Form and send to RPSreservations@oakgov.com.

General Information

For safety reasons, some mobile recreation units or inflatables have weight restrictions, require closed-toe shoes or state that socks must be worn. Please review these requirements carefully when selecting your units. Oakland County Parks is not responsible for providing socks or closed-toe options for participants. It is the responsibility of the renter to communicate these requirements to participants or provide these items as needed.

It is also the renter's responsibility to designate an appropriate area to place the selected unit at their event location. Please reference the unit specifications and requirements before booking. These can be found below under each package description.

The following information applies to ALL UNITS listed below:

  • Oakland County Parks staff set-up, facilitate activities and remove units
  • Mobile Recreation vehicles will travel up to 20 miles outside Oakland County
  • There is a $125 fee per hour for travel outside Oakland County
  • There is a $100 charge for each additional hour past the two-hour window, with the exception of the Air Jumper. The charge for the Air Jumper is $200 per additional hour
  • Cancelling unit within one week of reservation date will result in a $50 cancellation fee

Inclement Weather Policy

Mobile Recreation staff will discuss options with the group's contact person to determine the best course of action in the event of inclement weather, subject to approval by an Oakland County Parks Supervisor. Please note:

  • No inflatable unit, climbing tower or tent should be used:
    • In the event of winds or gusts over 25 mph
    • When thunder, lightning, hail, persistent or heavy rain or other inclement weather conditions are present
    • During severe weather warnings
  • If thunder or lightning occurs during the event, all units must shut down immediately. If conditions improve, the unit may reopen 30 minutes after the last sound/flash
  • Staff will discuss options with the contact person to determine how to proceed, with Oakland County Parks Supervisor approval
  • Due to scheduling conflicts and equipment conditions, an extension cannot be guaranteed in the event of inclement weather

For inclement weather prior to or at the beginning of the visit:

  • If the visit is cancelled within the first quarter of the scheduled visit time, a full refund OR a possibility of a reschedule will be given. The possibility of a rescheduled date is not guaranteed and will be based on date and unit availability. The renter runs the risk of forfeiting a full refund or the possibility of a reschedule if they choose to keep staff on site past the first quarter of the scheduled visit time.
  • Please call the Reservation Center at 248-858-0916, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for reschedule or refund options.
  • The visit can be moved indoors upon request if the indoor venue meets necessary site requirements and is approved by an Oakland County Parks supervisor.
