Tickets for each day can be purchased online up to five days in advance. To ensure a fun and safe experience, ticket sales are capped at 300 per day. Online ticket sales will stop two hours before the park closes. In-person sales will stop one hour before the park closes. We will post on our Facebook page if capacity is reached for the day.
A ticket is needed for EACH vehicle that will be used in the park (not vehicles that will be left in the parking lot). Online and on-site tickets are $30 per vehicle (not per person).
In addition, DNR ORV and ORV Trail stickers are required. You can purchase them at the park or at dozens of locations in/around Oakland County. Visit the DNR's website for a map of locations near you. The total for both stickers is $36.25.
Solar Restrooms
New solar-powered restrooms have replaced the portable toilets at Holly Oaks ORV Park. There are two units available – one in the front parking lot that will be open year-round and another in the back on the “Flat-Top” area that will be available April 15-Oct. 31.
The restrooms feature lights, fans, flushing toilets and sinks that are powered by solar panels and three 12-volt batteries. They sit on a 2,700-gallon freshwater tank and 2,700-gallon wastewater tank. The roof collects rainwater that is then filtered and used for the toilets only. There is no septic tank or field and no sewer hook-up.
About
Holly Oaks ORV Park is a year-round adventure destination open to all types of ORVs, including full-size vehicles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles or ATVs and motorcycles. Consisting of former and active sand and gravel mines, the park opened in 2020 and is located off I-75 (at the Grange Hall Road exit) and Dixie Highway near Groveland Oaks County Park and Campground. The 215-acre park is crisscrossed with old mining roads and features extreme terrain that ranges from mud flats to 120'+ vertical cliffs. The “North 60” allows riders to create unique park experiences by making their own paths and enjoying the exhilaration of zipping through flat spaces or maneuvering through rocky areas. Holly Oaks ORV Park is ride at your own risk as hazards constantly change in this old mine site, making each visit different than the one before. Vehicles operators should be aware of the terrain in front of them before they proceed. Holly Oaks is a joint state-county project operated by Oakland County Parks in a partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
