Book a Portable Planetarium Presentation

Our portable, inflatable planetarium brings the wonder of the night sky indoors. Take a naturalist-guided tour of the current night sky, projected on the inside of the dome. Programs meeting 5^th grade Michigan Science Standards are available by request.

This program is available at either the Red Oaks Nature Center in Madison Heights or the Wint Nature Center within Independence Oaks in Clarkston or as an outreach service at an appropriate location.

• Requires a quiet, clean indoor area with electricity in a 23’ x 23’ x 11’ room
• Accommodates up to 30 people per presentation
• Presentations are 45-minutes in length. About 15 minutes is needed to reset between programs
• Intended for grades 1 and older
• All groups require adult supervision, including inside the dome, during the presentation

This program works best for audiences ages 5 and up. During the presentation, it must be very dark inside the dome. Additionally, participants must be able to sit quietly for the 45-minute presentation.

• At your site: $225/First Presentation
  • $100 each additional presentation
• At the Nature Center: $100/First Presentation
  • $75 each additional presentation
• After hours/evening: Additional $75
• Out of County Fee: Additional $75
