Disc Golf
Addison Oaks and Pontiac Oaks offer 18-hole disc golf courses, which are open year-round.
Disc Golf (also known as Frisbee golf) is played like ball golf, using a flying disc. One stroke is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The winner is the golfer with the lowest score.
The Oaks at Addison Oaks hosts tournaments and open play and is highly rated by the Professional Disc Golf Association.
Pontiac Oaks Construction
The Disc Golf Course at Pontiac Oaks County Park, affectionately known as ‘The Thorne,’ was established in 2021 by Driftwood Creek Disc Golf Club. In 2025, holes 1-3 were relocated to accommodate a new lakeside paved trail and other park amenities. Additional improvements to the 18-hole course - including replacement of tee pads and updated basket locations - ensure the Pontiac Oaks Disc Golf Course will be a challenging, safe and enjoyable experience for years to come.
Please Note: The fishing pier and boat launch are currently closed. The playground and restrooms will remain open, seasonally, throughout the duration of construction. Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2026.
