Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Zenning Your Space: Kokedama

Weave Natural Elements into Your Daily Environment

Bring nature home—no matter where you live. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll craft your own kokedama (a Japanese moss ball plant) and discover simple, beautiful ways to weave natural elements into your environment for relaxation, balance, and better air quality. This program is suitable for ages 8+. Cost is $10/person. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-625-6473 during nature center hours or register online.
