Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Homeschool Program: Snowflake Science

Register for monthly Homeschool Programs
Learn about the weird science that enables the complex shape of snowflakes. Take part in frozen experiments and observe natural snow if it is available. Dress appropriately for winter weather. Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or register online. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome, including those from a traditional homeschool, pod or virtual learning setting.
