Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Snowflake Science

Complete frozen experiments to learn the science behind snowflakes

Some weird science enables the complex shapes of snowflakes. Take part in frozen experiments and observe natural snow if it’s available. An American Sign Language interpreter will be provided. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-625-6473 during nature center hours or register online.
