Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Join the Oakland Astronomy Club for a free Perseid Meteor Shower event. Enjoy train rides, airbrush tattoos with glow-in-the-dark glitter, self-led solar system walks, live music by Merge, telescopes, s'mores by the campfire and more.
Registration is not required. Bring blankets, chairs and insect repellant for your comfort. Limited to the first 400 attendees. Event is subject to cancelation in the event of inclement weather. Check Facebook for updates or call 248-693-2432.
