Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Garlic Mustard Pull

Help restore park land and understory for native spring flowers during a series of upcoming Garlic Mustard Pulls. Join Natural Resources staff to learn what to look for and how to assist with efforts to pull the invasive garlic mustard at our parks. Additional garlic mustard pulls will take place as follows:

  • May 18 from 1-4 p.m. at Lyon Oaks. Meet at the trailhead.
  • May 28 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Highland Oaks County Park in Highland. Meet at the trailhead parking lot.
