Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Maple’s Sweet Syrup

Michigan has a history steeped in maple sweetness. Learn about the sugaring process, tap a tree in our sugar bush and hike our storybook trail to read a maple story from Michigan author Elisa Kerr. Sample some maple treats and take home maple recipes. This program is suitable for all ages. Cost is $5/person. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours or register online.
