Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Maple Sap to Syrup

Got a sweet tooth? Join us to learn the science and history to why maple sap, syrup, and sugar are so important to this region. Tap a log with a brace and bit and sample a sweet treat while you hear about sugaring techniques through the ages. This program is suitable for all ages. Cost is $5/person. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-625-6473 during nature center hours or register online.
