Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Forest Bathing Weekend: The Healing Power of Nature

Did you know healing and connection is right outside your door? Learn how nature can help boost mental health while providing physical health benefits. This session will focus on simple ways to reconnect with our surroundings to help balance the stresses of everyday life. Meet at the Independence Oaks Boathouse. This program is suitable for adults. Cost is $5/person. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-625-6473 during nature center hours or register online.
