Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Lively Lepidopterans

Discover the world of butterflies and moths and learn about the role they play in the natural world. Did you know that they make up 10 percent of the population of all living things? Join Debbie Jackson, Monarch Watch specialist, to meet live caterpillars and butterflies (if available) to learn more fascinating facts and explore magical metamorphosis. Cost is $5/person. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours.
