Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Magical Moss Terrarium

Explore the magical world of moss

Discover the secret life of moss from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25 at Red Oaks Nature Center. We’ll take an exploratory hike highlighting the characteristics, categorizations and importance of this ancient plant group. Take a piece of the magic home with you by creating a moss terrarium! Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours or register online.
