Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Drawn to the Flame

Go on a hunt for nocturnal wonders

Observe Michigan’s nocturnal insect species under UV light at a set-up bug trap during Drawn to the Flame from 8:30-10 p.m. Friday, July 17 at Red Oaks Nature Center. We’ll discuss their roles in the food chain and importance as pollinators. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-585-0100 during nature center hours or register online.
