Oakland County Parks is focused on environmental leadership, action and practice in the community. Staff is available as a resource for local governments and the public to advise in their areas of expertise and assist homeowners, municipal employees, non-profit organizations and educational institutions in implementation of best practices.

Fluorescent Fun

Ready, Set, Glow! Register for Fluorescent Fun

Hunt for glowing fungi under UV flashlights during a hike to examine fluorescent rocks and understand what makes them illuminate during Fluorescent Fun from 8:30-10 p.m. Saturday, June 27 at Wint Nature Center. Discover why certain animals, plants, fungi and rocks glow in the dark. Preregistration with payment required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or 248-625-6473 during nature center hours or register online.
