Eligibility Requirements

• To qualify, your courses or degree program should support your current position or help prepare you for a future role within the County.
• Courses must be taken at an accredited education institution, after work hours.
• You must be actively employed at the time you submit your application and when the class is completed.
• Must be eligible for benefits in accordance with Merit Rule 20.

Process

You have two options for funding your education: tuition advancement and tuition reimbursement.

• Tuition advancement allows you to receive funds before your course begins and before you pay the school. Funds are provided based on your approved spend authorization.
• Tuition reimbursement is issued after you’ve successfully completed your course and submitted your final grades.
