At Oakland County, Learning and Engagement is designed to prepare a future-ready workforce while creating meaningful, career-building experiences for every employee. We partner across the organization to ensure learning is relevant, accessible, and aligned to the work that matters most.

Our Commitment

We are building a learning environment where employees are empowered to grow, contribute, and lead. What We Offer

Leadership Development. Our award-winning programs, including the Leadership Academy and Emerging Leaders Program, prepare current and future leaders. We also support participation in community-based programs such as Leadership Oakland.

Career coaching. Development planning, and resources to help navigate career pathways within the organization.

Work-Based Learning. Hands-on experiences such as job shadowing, stretch assignments, apprenticeships, and the DiversAbilities program provide practical, real-world development opportunities.
