8/4 11 A.M. ADVISORY LIFTED: Southeast Oakland Township Boil Water Advisory has ended. Thank you for your cooperation. Now that the advisory has ended, we recommend you take these steps in your home:
- Turn on your cold tap slowly and run the water to flush water pipes for five minutes.
- Empty your automatic ice maker completely and discard the ice made during the advisory period; then, run a few cycles of ice production.
- Throw the batches of ice away to fully flush the water line in the ice maker before using the ice again.

The North Oakland County Water Authority (NOCWA) serves as a collaboration of four North Oakland County governing bodies including Auburn Hills, Orion Township, Pontiac and Rochester Hills. The NOCWA board meets regularly to coordinate water system usage to increase water pressure and decrease water costs.
