Explore our latest projects to eliminate blight, stabilize neighborhoods, and promote community growth.
- $1.339 Million Boost for Blight Elimination: We're thrilled to announce that OCLBA has received $1.339 Million in Blight Elimination Grants from the Michigan State Land Bank Authority. This substantial funding has significantly accelerated our efforts to transform neglected properties into community assets.
- GM Modern Housing District Rehabilitation: Using $200,000 in Blight Elimination Grant funds, we stabilized two historic properties in the GM Modern Housing District, preventing further deterioration and preparing them for rehabilitation by a reputable developer.
- McCarroll School Demolition: The site of the long-vacant McCarroll School in Pontiac is being transformed into a Youth Recreation Center, creating opportunities for growth and inspiration for the city's youth, thanks to $547,000 in funding.
- Emerson School Redevelopment: This project will provide 55 small-footprint homes for seniors and young professionals, contributing to affordable housing and community well-being with $792,000 in funding.
- Casa Del Ray Redevelopment: A historic building in Pontiac is being transformed into 50 ‘Missing Middle’ apartments, addressing a critical housing need while restoring a community landmark.
