SmartFinance Academy—formerly known as Michigan Works! Financial Fitness—is an initiative that offers inclusive financial education to Oakland County residents, families, veterans, seniors, parents and business owners.

Led by the Oakland County Treasurer’s Office and delivered through its Financial Empowerment Center, this free, countywide initiative offers expert guidance, actionable tools, and community-focused programming to help you achieve your financial goals at every stage of life.

From budgeting and credit repair to homeownership and small business growth, our expert-led programs are designed to meet real-world needs and create greater economic opportunity for individuals, families, and communities across our county.
