Traffic/Criminal Division Filings

The 52-4 District Court Criminal Division will accept Attorney Appearances, Stipulations and Orders for Adjournment, and Stipulations and Orders for Remote Hearing Requests by email at 524criminal@oakgov.com. All attachments must be in Word or PDF format. Information on requesting to appear remotely, and adjournment requests can be found here. All other criminal pleadings must be mailed or delivered to 520 W. Big Beaver Rd, Troy MI 48084. Emergency requests to file any other criminal pleading by email should be addressed to the assigned judge's chambers.

To request a hearing for a civil infraction (traffic) ticket, complete the Civil Infraction Hearing online informal hearing request form.

All filings for the Civil Division must be submitted through MiFile.

Other Important Information

  • Walk-in hours on a bench warrant are from 8:30am-11:30am and 1:30pm to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Bonds must be posted in cash.

  • The Court cannot accept ex parte communications—all communications sent to the Judge or Court must also be sent to all parties of record.
  • The Court is not subject to FOIA requests pursuant to MCL 15.232(b)(v) but provides records in accordance with our Access to Records Local Administrative Order.
