Planners Gatherings are informational and educational forums (in-person and virtual) covering Planning and Zoning related topics relevant to communities within Oakland County.

Speakers for these sessions are often from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and private firms.

The format of these forums can range from casual discussions and information-sharing sessions to more formal presentations and workshops.

Backyard chickens have been a planning and zoning issue for years, with communities taking different regulatory approaches. Join us for a look at how Southfield and Beverly Hills developed their respective ordinances – and in the process kept the chickens from crossing the road and safe in their coops.
