Planners Gatherings are informational and educational forums (in-person and virtual) covering Planning and Zoning related topics relevant to communities within Oakland County.

Speakers for these sessions are often from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and private firms.

The format of these forums can range from casual discussions and information-sharing sessions to more formal presentations and workshops.

Oakland County | Planning, Zoning and Land Use - Virtual PLANNERS GATHERING

The Veterans Community Project (VCP) was founded in 2016 by combat Veterans who saw firsthand the challenges of returning to civilian life and who shared a dedication to do better for those who served our country. Their solution to Veteran homelessness is bold, yet simple: 240 square feet of dignity with 1:1 support to help Veterans get back on their feet—and continue standing. Since welcoming their first residents in 2018, VCP now has six locations throughout the U.S. and has shown an 85% success rate. Join us for a look at their program and its potential in Oakland County.
