Pontiac Redevelopment Project Partners
Oakland County has assembled a team of key partners to help revitalize the historic downtown of the city of Pontiac, including: the county, State of Michigan and the City of Pontiac. To complete the project, the county has hired: the Farbman Group and Facilinet Services, Inc. as owner’s representatives; HED, Design Workshop and Spalding DeDecker architecture for engineering and urban planning; Granger for construction management; Adamo for the demolition of the Phoenix Center; and Endeavour Pontiac Partners to develop two parking decks and downtown site improvements.
AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm providing comprehensive services in planning, design, and engineering. In Michigan, AECOM’s Novi office—as part of a joint venture—secured a $2.7 million construction management contract with Oakland County to support the transformative Pontiac Redevelopment Project, building on its regional experience with major infrastructure and transit initiatives across the state. AECOM hired Sidewalk Detroit to provide community engagement services with the residents and city of Pontiac.
Adamo is a Detroit-based demolition contractor known for safe and efficient removal of large-scale structures. Locally, they are spearheading the structural demolition of the 2,700-space Phoenix Center parking garage in downtown Pontiac—a key milestone in reopening Saginaw Street and preparing the site for future downtown revitalization.
Endeavour Group (Endeavour Pontiac Partners) leads the developer consortium chosen by Oakland County in June 2025 to drive the downtown revitalization. Known as Endeavour Pontiac Partners, the team is designing two new parking decks, and laying the groundwork for residential, retail, and green space development in the city.
Granger Construction is a third-generation construction company started by the Granger family in 1959 with offices and projects throughout the Midwest, including Lansing, Grand Rapids and Detroit. They are serving as the construction manager on the Pontiac Project and are working on the renovation of 31 E. Judson in downtown Pontiac that will become the home for up to 700 Oakland County employees.
HED Design is a national architecture, engineering, urban planning and design firm with offices across the country, including a Michigan office in Royal Oak. The firm has worked on projects across the country including the Integrative Bioscience Center at Wayne State University in Detroit and the Ford Motor Company Robotics Building at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. HED is the project architect and internal designer for the Pontiac Project.
The Farbman Group is a commercial real estate company headquartered in Farmington Hills with offices across the Midwest. With 40 years of experience in commercial real estate industry and more than 27 million square feet of properties, the Farbman Group also provides consulting, construction and development services. As the owner’s representative for the Pontiac Project, Farbman is working closely with Oakland County on the development of 31 E. Judson and 51111 Woodward in Pontiac.
