Incident Management Team
About Us
The Oakland County Incident Management Team is a multi-agency/multi-jurisdictional team comprised of trained personnel from Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, the Private Sector, and Emergency Management from around the state. Following an all-hazards approach, the OCIMT is fully prepared to support jurisdictions around the state with incidents such as:
- Natural Disasters, Flooding, Tornados
- Mass Casualty Incidents
- Major structure or wildland fires
- Technical Rescues
- HazMat Responses
- Hostage Situations
- Planned Events
Oakland County Incident Management Team is fully equipped to respond and assist on-scene and/or in Emergency Operations Centers.

FAQ
When should I call OCIMT?
The OCIMT can assist when an incident or planned event may exceed the local jurisdiction’s resources. Calling early improves our ability to respond and assist sooner.
What should you expect when OCIMT arrives?
Upon arrival, OCIMT Leadership will meet with Command and discuss the needs and expectations for the team. The OCIMT goal is never to take over an incident or event, but to assist local resources.
Will OCIMT Take over my incident or event?
The OCIMT does not arrive with the intention of taking over any incident or event. OCIMT can assume command to allow for work/rest cycles only at the request of the local jurisdiction.
What positions can OCIMT fill?
OCIMT is prepared to assist in all ICS positions including Planning, Logistics, Operations, and Finance. OCIMT members are also trained as Safety, Liaison, and Public Information Officers.
In addition, OCIMT can provide advanced communications and information technology support, including equipment.

OCIMT equipment includes:
