The Honorable Judge Kwamé L. Rowe is a role model for young adults to overcome obstacles in life, including poverty and community crime.

In August 2021, Governor Gretchen Whitmer appointed the Honorable Judge Kwamé L. Rowe to the Oakland County Circuit Court, becoming the youngest judge and the second African American male to serve.

He is also a fellow with the Oakland County Bar Association and a member with the Oakland County Bar Foundation and the Association of Black Judges of Michigan.

A Pontiac resident, Rowe earned his bachelor’s degree in social relations and policy/ political theory constitutional democracy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College and his and her law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
