TrailBlazers Hiking Program

Join Oakland County Parks staff for a scenic hike while discovering information about the parks and trails during the TrailBlazers Hiking Series. The April topic is“Wetland Walk.” As participants hike around Independence Oaks, they will learn about the variety of wetlands habitats that park staff protect and manage.

The TrailBlazer Hiking Series is a free program featuring 1-mile informational hikes. It is a great way to get in steps. Walkers should dress for the weather and bring a water bottle and bug spray.

Preregistration is required. Call 248-858-0916 or scan the QR code on the TrailBlazers Hiking Series flyer to register.

TrailBlazers is a series that runs through October. Each monthly session is held at a different park and features a new topic.
