Learn about digs and the artifacts uncovered

Celebrate the 60th anniversary of Oakland County Parks by joining Parks Historian Carol Bacak-Egbo for the new Trailside Chats Series to hear stories about the parks. Each session will be held in-person at a different location.

This month's topic will be "Digging into the Past: Archaeology and Oakland County Parks." It will be held from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Ellis Barn in Springfield Oaks County Park. Archaeology in Oakland County Parks has included the excavation of a
roadside trash dump and an old farm trash pit as well as the search for the Ellis farm outhouse.

While there is no charge to attend, preregistration is requested. Register online or by scanning the QR code on the Trailside Chats Flyer.
