With today's work and family demands, we know it can be difficult for residents to make it to our Pontiac office during regular business hours. With that in mind, we created our Local Office Visits, an on-the-road service offering on-the-spot copies of Oakland County records. The Local Office Visits, which operate at no extra cost, are simply a re-deployment of our existing resources. We will be visiting the east, west, north and south portions of Oakland County throughout the year.

Normal copy fees and identification requirements apply. Need a copy your property deed? We can do that.

How about a copy of your birth certificate or your divorce records? We can do that too.

During your Local Office Visit, you can:

Everyone is welcome at any of our Local Office stops. Visit us at the following locations.

Clerk Local Office Visit: Highland Township Public Library

Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Lisa Brown is bringing the services of her office to Highland Township and surrounding areas. The upcoming Clerk Local Office Visit (LOV) will be held Tuesday, June 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Township Public Library, located at 444 Beach Farm Road. Most transactions that people conduct with the County Clerk/Register of Deeds Office will be available.

“Clerk Local Office Visits are a convenient way for county residents to get the services they need from my office in their hometown,” said Brown. “Whether you visit our main office in Pontiac, our satellite office in Troy, a Clerk LOV near you, or access our online services, my goal is to ensure accessibility to my office’s services for all county residents.”

At all Local Office Visits residents can:

  • Apply for a Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
  • Apply for a marriage license
  • Apply to become a Notary Public
  • File a military discharge record
  • Get a free Veterans ID card
  • Register or renew a business name
  • Obtain copies of:
    • Birth, death and marriage certificates
    • Oakland County Circuit Court documents
    • Property documents (mortgages, deeds, liens, etc.)
