Oakland County Parks is participating in Michigan's Free Fishing Weekend June 7-8. During these two days, all fishing license fees will be waived, and residents and non-residents can fish for all species on inland and Great Lakes waters.
From shore, docks or boats, seven Oakland County Parks offer close-to-home fishing: Addison Oaks, Groveland Oaks, Highland Oaks, Independence Oaks, Orion Oaks, Pontiac Oaks and Rose Oaks. Independence Oaks-North’s Upper Bushman Lake is designated catch-and-release-only by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
