Apply today for a special scholarship from Oakland County to help cover this expense!

Childcare is a challenge for many Oakland County families impacted by COVID-19. Eligible workers or those enrolled in qualified post-secondary education or credential programs are invited to apply for a special childcare scholarship from Oakland County, made possible through the American Rescue Plan. 

Each scholarship is worth $1,200. The scholarships are available to the first 1,000 eligible families that apply. 

Services must be provided by a licensed childcare facility.

To be considered for the scholarship, individuals will be required to provide documentation that includes, but may not be limited to, the following:

  1. Proof of Oakland County residency
  2. Proof of Household income
  3. Proof of child(ren) enrollment at a licensed childcare provider
  4. Federal or State Identification
