Eligible Oakland County residents can take advantage of financial support while in training!

To help our residents achieve their career goals, we have partnered with Oakland County Michigan Works! to offer financial support to pay for books, supplies, transportation, childcare, and other related expenses while students are enrolled in training. This support is made possible through the American Rescue Plan.

Opportunities

Michigan Achievement Scholarship

Starting with the high school Class of 2023, students will be eligible for more financial aid from the State through the Michigan Achievement Scholarship.

Free community college tuition to earn an associate degree or Pell-eligible skill certificate if you're 25 or older.

Fostering Futures Scholarship Application Priority Deadline

(News Release) Michigan Department of Treasury, emailed June 10, 2022

The Michigan Department of Treasury reminds young adults who have experienced foster care on or after their 13th birthday that they are eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Fostering Futures Scholarship Trust Fund.

The priority deadline for the Fostering Futures Scholarship application for academic year 2022-23 is August 1, 2022. Eligible students enrolled at a Michigan degree-granting college or university may now apply to receive scholarship funds for tuition, fees, room, board, books and supplies. Applications received after August 1, 2022, may be placed on a waitlist.
