As the County's banker and chief investment officer, the Treasurer is responsible for investing all General and Proprietary funds and the Local Government Investment Pool on behalf of Oakland County.
The investments are managed in conformance with
PA 20 of 1943, and the
Oakland County Investment Policy that uses the highest ethical and investment standards to ensure the safety of the invested public funds, liquidity and return on investment.
The Oakland County Investment Policy also restricts the investment portfolio to no more than 15 percent with a single financial institution and no more than 60 percent with a single security type.
Treasurer's Monthly Investment Reports
The Treasurer's Monthly Investment Report summarizes the previous month's portfolio data and is published each month. The investment report includes the information required by State law and is provided for transparency. The reports also include charts and graphs to assist readers in understanding the County's Investment portfolio.
