Accounting Aid Society will offer free tax preparation and advice for low- and middle-income taxpayers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday at our office. Individuals who earned $35,000 or less or families who earned $53,000 are eligible for this service. The society also offers assistance to small business owners. Click

Catholic Social Services of Southeast Michigan Hispanic Outreach: Offers clothing, food and shelter assistance as well as language assistance with employment applications and medical forms, legal help and other services. Call
Community Housing Network: Offers budget counseling and income assessment to determine housing needs and what agencies may be able to assist. It also provides homeless assistance for those about to lose or who have lost their homes. Call
Common Ground Sanctuary: Provides counseling for a variety of issues as well as a free legal clinic addressing landlord/tenant, bankruptcy and probate issues. Call
Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit: Offers financial, mental health, mortgage foreclosure and budget counseling as well as assistance for seniors dealing with housing issues. Call
Jewish Vocational Services: Provides financial, mortgage foreclosure and budget counseling as well as job training. Call
Lighthouse of Oakland County: Offers food and utility assistance. Its Center for Working Families provides budget counseling and computer and workforce development training. Mortgage foreclosure counseling also is available. Call
Legal Aid and Defender Association: Provides an array of free or low-cost legal assistance, including bankruptcy, mortgage foreclosure and landlord/tenant issues. Call
Neighborhood House of Rochester Area: Provides food, clothing, financial and transportation assistance as well as counseling for residents of Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, Auburn Hills or Addison Township. Call
Oakland County Division of Community and Home Improvement: Offers mortgage foreclosure, budget and reverse mortgage counseling as well as Step Forward Michigan assistance and home repair loans. Call
