​A money order may be sent to an inmate as long as the following information appears on both the outside of the envelope as well as on the money order.

Inmates may receive money through the mail in money order form only at the following address:​

  • P.O. Box 436017
  • Pontiac, MI 48343
All inmate mail must ​contain the following on the front of the envelope, or the mail will be stamped RETURN TO SENDER and posted back to you (if the mail has no return address, it will be discarded)
  1. Name of Inmate
  2. Inmate Number
  3. Cell location
  4. Return address

All money orders must be signed. If any of the above listed information is missing, delivery will be delayed.

Money (cash or money orders) is accepted at the Main Jail Visitation Lobby Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. and Saturday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Cash deposits require exact amount.  Change cannot be given and coins are not accepted.
