Pamela Newsom
Supervisor of Administrative Services

Pamela Covarrubias Newsom is the Supervisor of Administrative and Human Resource Services. Her duties include the oversight of Human Resources, Records, the Results Program, Accounting, and Inmate Leisure and Legal Services. Ms. Newsom began her career with Oakland County in 1977 and has been an employee of the Sheriff’s Office since 1979.

Ms. Newsom received an Associate of Business Administration Degree from Oakland Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Degree from St. Mary’s College, and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management Degree from the University of Phoenix.

She was responsible in developing a Performance Evaluation Form and an accompanying Procedural Guideline book for employees of the Sheriff’s Office. Ms. Newsom has received two Sheriff’s Distinguished Service Awards, and in 1993, she received the Employee of the Year Award.
