In partnership with the
New York Police Department, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office is launching a program for the public called Oakland County Sheriff Shield. Sheriff Shield will allow members of the community and businesses to
sign-up for emails to be sent to them after critical events occur. These emails will cover terrorist attacks, bombings, potential threats, and safety precautions for local events.
The initiative is designed to keep the public informed and provide them with details on real world events. By educating the public and giving them timely information, the Sheriff's Office hopes citizens become comfortable with reporting suspicious events and knowing the signs of potential hazards.
Residents can expect to receive two to three emails a month depending on the number of real-time events and threats which may be taking place.Subscribe to Sheriff's Shield
