Women's Self-Defense

In observance of Women's Self-Defense Month in October, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office will once again offer free self-defense classes for women during the month of October, 2016.

The classes will be held at the Sheriff's Auburn Hills Complex located at 1690 Brown Rd., Auburn Hills, MI  48346.  The building is located behind the Oakland County Pet Adoption Center.  Each class is four hours in length and the schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, October 6 - 9am-1pm
  • Saturday, October 20 - 9am-1pm
  • Saturday, October 27 - 9am-1pm
The following class will be held at the OCSO Headquarters, located at 1200 N. Telegraph Rd in Pontiac, Mi:

  • Saturday, October 13th  9am-1pm

The FREE women's self-defense classes are sponsored by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office in partnership with the iGroup Model and Talent Agency, the Miss Michigan America Organization and HAVEN.

  • Date preference
  • All names of the individuals wishing to register
  • Email address for each participant
  • Written permission is needed for participants 14-17 years of age

Space is limited – first come, first served!  Closed-toe shoes are required.  Written permission is needed for participants 14-18 years of age.
