Gaia Piir - Fiscal Officer

Gaia V. Piir is the Fiscal Officer for the Sheriff's Office. Her duties include the oversight of accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and human resources for the entire agency. Ms. Piir has been with Oakland County since 1992.

Ms. Piir received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from Cleary College. She is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA) and the Leadership Oakland Alumni Association.   She is a member of the GFOA Women’s Public Finance Network (WPFN) and has attended the GFOA Advanced Government Finance Institute.  She is a Certified Credit Union Volunteer and currently serves as the Vice Chairperson on the Vibe Credit Union Board of Directors.
