Captain Doug Molinar

Captain Doug Molinar​Captain Douglas S. Molinar is the Commander of the Corrective Services Division of the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.  He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1988 and to the rank of Captain in 2003. In his current role, he is responsible for the operations of the Main Jail and the East Annex.

Captain Molinar previously was Commander of Patrol Services, the Rochester Hills Substation, Corrective Services, the former Brown Road facility and the Corrective Services Satellite Division. During his career, he has received the Officer of the Year Award and five Distinguished Service Awards from the Sheriff’s Office.

Captain Molinar has also been honored as Officer of the Year by the Clawson-Troy Elks Club. He received a Master of Criminal Justice Degree from the University of Detroit, graduated from the John F. Kennedy School of Government from Harvard University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy – 201st Session.
